After last weekend's loss in Lommel, Basics Melsele-Beveren sealed their fate and will play in Top Division Men 2 next year, as well as Hubo Limburg United B.

In a postponed game versus Croonen Lommel, Basics Melsele-Beveren couldn't pull off the miracle to stay in Top Division Men One, as they lost 83-74. For Melsele-Beveren, that meant the 17th loss, with only 3 wins to show for. As Melsele is trailing two games behind Spirou B and they have a negative win-loss record in relation to them, they will for sure finish in 15th place.

Lommel was playing their second postponed game in two weeks time (after losing in Neufchâteau) and started off strong. Lommel is still battling for a Playoff spot, so they had their own goal to play for. At the half, they were leading 53-40. Melsele-Beveren couldn't really answer in the second half (70-53 after three quarters) and thus couldn't escape their fate. Matts De Keuster had 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists, as Bram Schelkens added 21 points for Lommel. Jens Bouckaert had 20 points and 8 rebounds for Melsele, while Vincent Van Den Berghe added 14 points and 9 rebounds.

For next season Melsele-Bevere has already announced some changes, with star player Cedric Dedecker leaving for Waregem and Lucien Sissoko signing with Basket Willebroek. Incoming transfers are the Nunes e Santos Cruz brothers (Leuven B), Phillippe Peeters (Willebroek), Volodymyr Shevchuk (Hansbeke) and Tiemen Van Brussel (Kortrijk Spurs).

Limburg United B already was relegated to TDM2, as they haven't won a single game this year. They have a negative saldo of -628 in 20 games, meaning they lose their games by an average margin of 31,4 points.
