Lommel gets off to perfect start in TDM1

BBC Croonen Lommel got off to a perfect start in this new TDM1 season, by winning its first three games. Falco Gent is the only other 'perfect' team, but it has played only two games.

The 2024-2025 campaign had been a season to forget for BBC Croonen Lommel. Although ambitious at the start of the season, a ton of injuries knocked Lommel out of the title race.

At full strength again to start this new season in TDM1, Lommel looked ready to roll again and they have been stellar in these first few games.

In their season opener they had no problems with the young Antwerp Giants squad, even if the game was on the road. They nearly won by 30, ending with a final score of 59-86. Star big man Matts De Keuster was hard to stop with 27 points (12-18 FG) and 7 boards.

Game 2 was the home opener against that other youngster team, Spirou Charleroi B. Things got a little bit tighter there, but in the end Lommel came out on top 69-63. This time, it was experienced guard Bram Schelkens who led the way with 17 points.

Last weekend, they had another home victory against the yet-to-win Rucon Gembo Borgerhout side: 88-78. De Keuster stepped up again with 23 points, 5 rebounds & 5 assists.

And to think their star addition of the summer, Toon Ceyssens from Limburg United, still has to play his first regular season game.

TDM1 teams are warned, Lommel is not here to mess around this season.
