Croonen Lommel booked a major home victory over the weekend, as they halted the winning-streak of SKT Ieper. Matts De Keuster finished with 18 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists.

It has been a tough season so far for BBC Croonen Lommel, dominated by injuries. They've lost key players like Toon Wesenbeek, Siebe Bovy, Bram Schelkens and Sander Bollen during the season, which reflects in their record: 6-8.
Now they've recovered point guard Bram Schelkens, but against SKT Ieper they still had to do without Wesenbeek, Bollen, Siebe Bovy, Bouts and Wout Jansen. Ieper couldn't count on D'herck and De Meulemeester.
It was Lommel who took the best start, counting on their big man Matts De Keuster (18 points, 17 rebounds). Ieper answered which resulted in 20-18 after quarter 1. Schelkens (21 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists) gave Lommel the 27-21 lead in Q2, but Ieper took over and went on 1-11 run. Three-pointers by Bovy (18 points, 5/9 3PTS) resulted in a 36-32 lead at halftime.
Powered by a strong Robbe Van Den Bossche (20 points, 11 rebounds), Ieper got back in the lead after the break and after some back and forth it ended 50-51 after 3. In the last 5 minutes, Lommel turned to their leaders and a clutch performance by Yannick Cornelissen (7 straight points) gave Lommel the win in the end: 77-70.
Lommel improves to 6-8 and the 11th spot in the standings, while Ieper falls to 11-3 and shares the top spot with Guco Lier.
