Amon Jeugd Gentson cruised to their fifth win on the season against Brunehaut, thanks to a stellar performance by Louise De Geest: 20 points, 21 rebounds and 6 assists.
Amon Jeugd Gentson (5-8) had a major win over Basketball Brunehaut (1-12) over the weekend. The newcomer in TDW had only won by the smallest possible margin against Brunehaut in the first leg of the competition, but made sure there was no doubt this time.
Gentson came out fiercely and left Brunehaut no room to catch up. With a 22-6 in the first quarter, followed by 19-9 in the second quarter, the game was practically played by halftime: 41-15. In the remainder of the game, Brunehaut could do a little bit more damage, but never got back into the game, so Gentson won comfortably in the end: 76-46.
The visitors never found an answer for Louise De Geest. De 22-year old power forward had a rare 20-20 game, ending with 20 points (9/13 FG), 21 rebounds and adding 6 assists, resulting in a whopping 41 index. De Geest averages nearly 10 points and 9 rebounds on the season.
This weekend Gentson take son Basket Lummen, weheras Brunehaut will travel to Liège.
