After taking the Belgian Cup from Kangoeroes Mechelen, back in March, Royal Castors Braine also took the Belgian League title in Top Division Women. It was their first title since 2020.

In the third and decisive game, Castors Braine was too strong for main contender Kangoeroes Mechelen. Castors defeated Mechelen 81-69. Kangoeroes had won game 1 with 77-69, after which Castors won game 2 at home with 82-77.
In game 3, Castors had the crowd immediately backing them, but at the break Kangoeroes lead 39-40. In the third quarter, the home team made their decisive run, which gave them an 8 point lead after 3 quarters. They would never look back.
Lithuanian guard Santa OkockytĆØ was top scorer with 22 points. Braine won the title for the first time since 2020. Since then, Kangoeroes had won it every year. "It is great. There are no words for this team and the way we fight. We had a tough season, but kept fighting. I'm so proud at each and every one", says Castors-captain Marie Vervaet.
